River of Life Christian Church at Silicon Valley was established under the leadership of Rev. Tong Liu in 1995. God has led us to build over 50 daughter churches in Mongolia, Africa and North America in the past years. Our current building was constructed in 2003, and was given the name “A Home for All Nations.” We hope that our church can provide better equipped evangelic activities and more diverse community services, thus truly becoming a home for all nations.
FAITH STATEMENT
We believe:
- God is the true trinity
- God the Father is the true God who creates the universe.
- God the Son, Jesus, is the same as God Himself who became man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born from Virgin Mary. He gave his life on the cross to save man’s sins. The punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. On the third day, Jesus was resurrected from death and ascended to heaven. He is sitting at the right hand side of our almighty Father God, and he will come again to judge the world.
- God the Holy Spirit lives inside every believer. Filled by the Holy Spirit brings holiness to every believer and strength to serve our God.
- The Bible is inspired by God, and the foundation of all faith and living.
- Humankind is saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone. At judgment day, both the believed and the unbelieved will be resurrected, the believed will have ever lasting life, and the unbelieved will perish forever.
- The church is the body of Christ. From the apostles’ days to present days, we all belong to the same body to witness the glory of God.
VISION
Our Vision is to build a glorious church.
- A glorious church begins with individuals’ lives. The major levers of an individual are: Praise & Worship, Holy Spirit Renewal, Cell Church, and Glocal Impact through world missions.
- God will send miraculous changes and blessings to our families, communities and nations
- God channels blessings to more individual lives, families, work places, communities, ethnic groups, and even to the whole world.
